Project Over View

The Wendy Thompson Hut is one of the most accessible backcountry huts in British Columbia, which makes it a favourite destination for skiers, snowboarders, and hikers alike. My goal with this project was to capture the spirit of the hut through both seasons, its legendary deep winter powder and the rugged, untamed beauty of its alpine landscapes in summer.

Through a mix of photography and a short cinematic film, I set out to showcase not just the hut itself, but the wild mountain environment that surrounds it. From crisp winter turns in untouched snow to the raw, quiet landscapes revealed in summer, the project highlights the unique adventure tourism potential of the area.

By blending cinematic storytelling with adventure photography, I create content that helps tourism operators and outdoor brands showcase the excitement of their experiences and the beauty of their destinations. My approach is designed to inspire travelers, elevate brand identity, and connect people to the wild places that make British Columbia unforgettable.
